Sculpture
For me, sculpture is a form of multi-dimensional drawing.
In 1988 I was commissioned to make a 21-metre sculpture in stainless steel called ‘El Sol’ to commemorate the Pan-American Games. The sculpture stands in the Stadium Pachencho Romero in Maracaibo, the second largest city in Venezuela.
Maracaibo is known as «THE BELOVED SUN CITY».
I made the «El Sol» sculpture as the symbol of the Panamerican Games.
